These works are created using a pochoir technique.  I create the stencil by blackening in random squares on a piece of graph paper.  Then I cut a stencil of the motif out of plastic.  I turn and flip the stencil, painting one square at a time to create the patterns.  It is a random process, or rather, an intuitive process.  The design is not conceived beforehand, but rather I work intuitively as I go along
